Mission Statement:

San Diego Reading Pathways ([domain suppressed]) is a private tutoring service owned and operated by Patrick Renker, a former Lindamood-Bell Consultant and University of California, Berkeley graduate with over 13 years experience helping students overcome learning challenges. Services consist of intensive remedial instruction using Lindamood-Bell's highly effective programs, or regular subject-based tutoring in Writing, Literature, Humanities, et al. Instruction is one-to-one, takes place in the home, and based on an initial consultation (and possible evaluation) that determines a student's learning needs and goals. Remedial instruction is based on three highly successful programs that address reading fluency, comprehension, and mathematical weaknesses: Seeing Stars, Visualizing and Verbalizing, and On Cloud Nine. SDRP believes the the learning process should be positive, focused, individualized, and fun!

History / Biography and/or Education / Qualification:

San Diego Reading Pathways was founded by Patrick Renker in 2010. After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley in 2001 with a degree in English Literature, Patrick began working with students with learning challenges at Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes in Menlo Park, California. After a few months working with students of various learning disabilities (dyslexia, hyperlexia, autism, ADHD, etc.), he decided to dedicate his life to improving the academic lives of children. In 2010, Patrick left Lindamood-Bell and formed San Diego Reading Pathways in order to offer more flexible, affordable, and personalized services to students and parents
